BOARDING POLICIES

Our policy regarding BOARDING charges are as follows

A boarding charge applies when a dog stays in our facility per day

Twissted Whiskers has a special set ups for dogs with aggressive or other non-social behaviors and therefore are permitted for boarding and/or play times/play groups. However, due to safety and liability concerns, each dog is addressed on a case-by-case basis. TW reserves the right, without notice, to adjust its fees for services. Please inquire at the front desk as to our current fees.

We reserve the right to immediately change your dog’s type of boarding/play times/play groups if we believe it is necessary to protect the health and well being of your dog, other dogs, or a staff member.

Although we will take every measure, we cannot guarantee that toys, blankets, or bedding will be kept in the same condition as brought in. For safety reasons, tennis balls and rawhide are NOT allowed as well as glass or ceramic bowels.

All dogs must have all their vaccinations.

All dogs must have an identification tag with either a phone number or address of the owner. We recommend that the tag include the dog’s name.

All dogs must be on a leash when entering or leaving the building.

We ask that you divide your dog’s daily food portion into separate Zip-lock bags. This is done to ensure that your pup gets the exact amount of food you desire and helps to ensure overall facility cleanliness.

There is a  holiday surcharge per dog, per night, for the following dates: the day before Memorial Day, Memorial Day, July 3rd, July 4th, the day before Labor Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Eve, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.

We require a pre-payment on ALL long-term boards.

All pre payments and deposits are non-refundable. The balance will remain as a credit on the account.

Services are on a first-come, first-serve basis. Therefore, a credit card number and 50% deposit is required to secure your boarding reservation. ALL deposits are nonrefundable but, in the event of a cancellation, can be applied to future services.

Feline Vaccination Requirements

• Rabies Vaccine- (Both the 1 year and 3 year vaccine are accepted)
• FVRCP- (Both the 1 year and 3 year vaccine are accepted)
• FELV- Feline Leukemia (Both the 1 year and 3 year vaccine are accepted.) or a negative test within one year of boarding.

Canine Vaccination Requirements

• Bordetella (kennel cough) required 6 months from boarding
• Rabies (either 1 or 3 year vaccine accepted)
• Distemper or Distemper combo shots such as DHPP or DHLPP (either 1 or 3 year vaccine accepted)

Details for Boarding Packages

• Package purchases are non-refundable
• Can not combine packages with any other discounts or coupons
• One package per pet. Pets can not split or share days
• Package days can be used as needed. Days don’t have to be used all in one stay
• No half days with packages
• Packages will expire one year from purchase
• Package days do not include Holiday fees or special care fees
• Package payments must be paid by the time of drop off
